Redtree gains Cogent Skills Services Provider Assurance status

Redtree is now a Cogent Skills assured provider specializing in the delivery of Workforce Development/ and or Apprenticeship provision to employers within the Science based industries.

Clinical Research Associate (CRA) skills benchmark launched by Cogent Skills

Redtree People have assisted Cogent Skills, the sector skills council for the science-based industries, with the development and release of the new Gold Standard for the role of Clinical Research Associate.

The development of the Gold Standard role profile has been supported by experts in the field of clinical research headed by Sue Fitzpatrick of Redtree. The expert panel included sponsor Pharmaceutical employers; providers Redtree and leading industry bodies such as the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA). It has been  developed for Clinical Research Associates (CRAs) and employers who in the execution of the CRA role monitor the progress of a clinical trials at investigator sites, verifying that it is conducted, recorded and reported in accordance with the protocol, and ensuring that the rights and wellbeing of subjects are protected.

RAs are employed by clinical trial sponsors which may include pharmaceutical companies , contract research organisations (CROs) academia, the NHS and other institutions who must respond to a fast changing environment where maintenance of skills and knowledge is vital to the success of the role. The CRA Cogent Gold standard provides a framework that details these skills and the competency requirements that may then be used to recruit and develop new CRAs develop structured training in accordance to future Cogent CRA training standards.

Redtree has long canvassed industry bodies for the introduction of a standards based approach for clinical research and is delighted to be working with Cogent to push these unified standards forward. In its training and learning capacity, Redtree will provide Gold Standards aligned training after being instrumental in the delivery and development of the new Training Standards to meet the Gold Standard.

NNEdPro is an independent knowledge generation, transfer/exchange and evaluation platform. http://www.nnedpro.org.uk/. The NNEdPro Group represents a strategic partnership between doctors, dietitians, nutritionists, and other healthcare professionals. It is composed of several partner organisations including the British Dietetic Association, Society for Nutrition Education and Behaviour, the Cambridge University Hospitals/School of Clinical Medicine, the University of Ulster and the UK Medical Research Council Human Nutrition Research unit in Cambridge, UK.

Sue Fitzpatrick joins Redtree People : 31-Mar-2014

Redtree People a trading arm of Redtree Systems Ltd are pleased to announce the appointment of Sue Fitzpatrick, formerly the Head of Education and Training at the Institute of Clinical Research (ICR), to the Redtree management team and board.

Sue’s role will be to further Redtree’s learning and training capability and to develop the planned ‘Employability’ programme initiative aimed at assisting new market entrants, including Biomedical Scientific students and Research Nurses, transitioning into the Clinical Research sector.

Redtree People :

Redtree has supplemented its customer services team with the deployment of Donna O’Keefe as Redtree Project Manager. Donna will be responsible for the project management and further development of the Redtree platform. Julie Mallam has been appointed as Redtree customer relationship management CRM and system manager. Rachel Corbishley has been appointed to head up the Redtree customer services team. All three have extensive experience of managing customer service orientated operations.

Redtree Platform :

Redtree will be releasing the next generation version of its system platform to allow Candidates to update detailed profile information of their skills, experience, competencies and availability. Hiring organisations will be able to directly search and select from the Redtree skills database to create Candidate shortlists and interview instructions.
